This section gives instructions for when AC Power is being utilized for powering the OLT6/1134 system.
The OLT6/1134 AC requires the AC-DC rectifier(s) to be installed in the rear of the unit.
Use the following procedure to install the redundant AC-DC rectifiers.
| Note: The OLT6 can accommodate two rectifiers configured to support redundant powering. |

- Locate the package containing the rectifier/power supply.
- Open the package and examine the rectifier for any apparent damage.
- If damage is noted, do not proceed and contact TAC or your Tellabs sales representative for a replacement unit.
- Remove the rectifier cover from the rear of the OLT6 shelf by removing the 2 securing knurled nuts and pulling the cover away from the chassis.

- Prior to installing the first rectifier, use a #2 Phillips screwdriver and loosen the two captive screws on the two latches on either side of the rectifier and pull the top of the latches away from the rectifier.

- Install the rectifier onto the top rectifier slot guide and fully insert the rectifier into the OLT6 chassis.

- Close the latches and secure the 2 captive screws.
- Install an AC power cable into the correct power input socket of the OLT.
- Observe the following rectifier activity.
- Power LED illuminates.
- Fan starts up.
- The Minor and Major alarm LEDs illuminate momentarily as the rectifier logic stabilizes.
- The rectifier should stabilize in approximately 8 seconds.
- If a redundant power supply is being installed, repeat Step 1 through Step 13.
- When the rectifier(s) is installed, replace the rectifier cover, ensuring that the metal sides of the cover are outside of the support guides.
