After the OLT has been initially configured (or turned up) it can be added to the Tellabs Panorama PON element management system (Panorama). Panorama is a graphical user interface (GUI) that provides end-to-end management of the Optical LAN. Panorama simplifies LAN management by providing:
- Centralized intelligence
- Management of the OLT, optical network terminals (ONT) and subtended devices.
- Discovery and end-to-end network views for quick actions
- Automation to speed provisioning and moves, adds and changes
- Consistency to reduce errors and LAN downtime
- Portability across managed LANs
To add the OIU2 to Panorama:
- Launch the Add OLAN OLT Wizard from the Main Menu by selecting Tools > Wizard > Add OLAN OLT

- Enter the IP address of the OLT in the IP Address text field, select the ERASE configuration data from the OLT radio button and click the Next button.
| Note: Selecting the ERASE option tells the system to cleanup any residual provisioning that might result from component reuse. The data collected during the OLT turnup process will not be erased. |

- If Panorama is able to communicate with the OLT, it will display a summary of its turnup data. Confirm the data and click the Next button. The OLT Type may differ slightly depending on the OLT type you are adding to Panorama.

- Enter the Target Identifier (TID) in the Target Identifier text box and enter the appropriate time zone data. Click the Next button.
| Note: The Template section of this dialog provides a mechanism for automatic discovery and provisioning of PONs, ONTs and Ethernet ports. You can learn more about auto configuration in the Application Note: ENG-010407 ONT Auto Configuration Support |

- Click the Confirm and Apply Button.

- Panorama will add the OLT. This will take a few minutes. When the add is completed, click the Finish button.
