Add T1100 Series NEs

Use the following procedure to add a Tellabs 1100 series (Tellabs 1131, Tellabs 1134, or Tellabs 1150 Optical Line Terminal (OLT):

  1. From Panorama PON EMS, select Tools > Wizard Add OLAN OLT from the Main Menu toolbar.

Information Note: The Add Legacy NE menu item should be used only to add Voice Gateways. All others should use Add OLAN OLT.
  2. The Add OLT Wizard dialog is displayed.

  3. Decide whether to read configuration data from the OLT or to erase and configure a new OLT:
    1. To read provisioned data from the OLT, select READ, click the Next button, and go to Step 5.
Information Note: When this option is selected and Panorama PON adds the OLT , the information from the NE updates in the database. This is appropriate when the OLT database contains the most accurate provisioning data (for example, the OLT may have been provisioned before, deleted from an Panorama PON server, and is being added back to this server).
    2. To configure a new OLT, select ERASE, click the Next button, and continue with Step 4.
Information Note: When this option is selected, Panorama PON erases all provisioning data from the OLT database. Data input from the Add NE Wizard updates the OLT. This is appropriate for a new OLT installation.
  4. When ERASE is selected in Step 3, Panorama PON prompts for confirmation to erase the OLT provisioning data. Click READ to confirm this action and click the Next button.

  5. Review the configuration settings on the screen.
  6. The Add OLT Wizard – OLT Configurations screen is displayed.

  7. On the OLT Configurations screen, enter the required information (see table below), and click the Next button.
Information Note: Some of the attributes listed in the table below can be changed after the OLT has been added to the server. For related information, refer to the OLT Properties Screen.
