Certificate Status

Use the following procedure to view the status of the current device and/or anchor certificate(s):

  1. From the ONT Property dialog, select the Certificate Status tab. The Certificate Status screen is displayed.

  2. Refer to the table below for description of the contents of each field in the Certificate Status Tab.
     

    Field

    Description

    Device Certificate
    Certificate Subject Displays the Certificate Subject. This is a string valued attribute which contains the /CN (Certificate Name) and /OU (Organizational Unit).
    Serial Number Displays the certificate serial number that uniquely identifies the certificate.
    Certificate Status

    Displays the Current Status of the Certificate.

    •    Valid – indicates no problems with the current certificate and it is valid for use.

    •   Invalid – indicates the certificate has been corrupted on disk or is otherwise not usable.

    •   Revoked – used when OCSP has indicated that this certificate has been revoked.

    •   Expired – indicates that the certificate is outside of its Valid From/Valid To dates.

    Expiring – indicates the certificate is currently valid but is within the expiry window.

    Valid From

    Displays the start date of the certificate.

    Valid To

    Displays the date on which the certificate expires.

    Installation Date

    Displays the date at which the certificate was installed on the device.

    Last Download Status

    Displays the status of the last download attempt.

    • Download Success – indicates that the last attempt to download was successful.
    • Download Failed – indicates that the last download attempt failed and the previous certificate was retained (and should be valid unless expired).

    Last Download Date

    Displays the date of the last download.

    Anchor Certificates

    Anchor Certificate

    An anchor certificate loaded on the server from a trusted source. This field indicates the number of x amount of certificates.

    Certificate Subject

    Displays the Certificate Subject. This is a string valued attribute which contains the /CN (Certificate Name) and /OU (Organizational Unit).

    Serial Number

    Displays the certificate serial number that uniquely identifies the certificate.

    Certificate Status

    Displays the Current Status of the Certificate.

    • Valid – indicates no problems with the current certificate and it is valid for use.
    • Invalid – indicates the certificate has been corrupted on disk or is otherwise not usable (perhaps invalid password, won't decode, etc).
    • Revoked – used when OCSP has indicated that this certificate has been revoked.
    • Expired – indicates that the certificate is outside of its Valid From/Valid To dates.
    • Expiring – indicates the certificate is currently valid but is within the expiry window.

    Valid From

    Displays the start date of the certificate.

    Valid To

    Displays the date on which the certificate expires.

    Installation Date

    Displays date at which the certificate was installed on the device.

    Last Download Status

    Displays the status of the last download attempt.

    • Download Success – indicates that the last attempt to download was successful.
    • Download Failed – indicates that the last download attempt failed and the previous certificate was retained (and should be valid unless expired).

    Last Download Date

    Displays the date of the last download.

    Previous/Next Buttons

    Cycles through the Anchor Certificates applied to this ONT.

    Actions

    Reset ONT Certificate

    ALERT! The Reset ONT Certificate button is only available when the user is logged in with Certificate Admin privileges and the ONT729GP is configured with a SoftSwitch.

    Resets the certificate values to default values.

  3. Click the Close button to close the Certificate Status screen.
  4. When the ONT has been configured, verify the ONT voice and data line configurations, and update them if necessary (refer to “Create Ethernet Port Profiles”).
  5. Click the Close button to close the ONT configuration dialog.
