Create
Report Job Manager
Reports are created, deleted, modified, refreshed and executed by the Report Job Manager. The Manager will allow the user to name and pick a listed template with associated query filters to generate a report.
From the Application View Bar, select the Create icon (
). The Report Job Manager. screen will be displayed.

Report Job Functions
Job Reports are created with the Create New Report Job function. The following are input parameters to create a Job report.
Click on the New button in the Report Job Manager window to access the Create New Report Job window.

The following will explain input each field and their function in the Report generation process.
- Report Job Name - User assigned name of the Report Job. Upper/lower case alphanumeric characters, hyphen (-) and underscore (_) are allowed.
- Report Name - User assigned name of the Report. Upper/lower case alphanumeric characters, hyphen (-) and underscore (_) are allowed.
- Report Template - A dropdown list of templates used to create reports. The following are the templates and the list of fields that are available for the report.
Note: The following Report Templates and field listings are for reference only. New templates and fields will be added and removed on an as-needed basis.

- Description - After the Template has been selected the EMS will automatically insert the templates description in the field.
- OLTs - Available Values - The EMS will display all the connected OLTs on the network and lists them with their IP address.
- OLTs - Selected Values - The report will display the selected ONTs for the report job. All Olts is the default value.
- Values can be transferred between Available Values and Selected Values by double-clicking on the value or by using the (>) or (<) tab.
- Query Filter - Available Fields - The report will not display the information on any fields listed.
- Query Filter - Selected Fields - The report will display information on all the fields listed.
- Fields can be transferred between Available Fields and Selected Fields by double-clicking on the field or by using the (>) or (<) tab. Based on the selected template, EMS will populate this area with all the fields, only move fields to the Available Fields section to exclude them from the report.
- Enable - Select Enable to run a report on the day(s) specified in Week setting at the time specified in the Hours/Minutes/Seconds setting.
Note: In order for a report to be generated per the specified schedule, it has to be enabled first. Otherwise, it will just be a placeholder and never get executed. - Day of the Week - Active when Enable is selected. Select the Day(s) of the week that this report is to be run. Select individual day(s) or select All to run the report every day at the specified Hours/Minutes/Seconds.
Note: Should a date and time not be selected, the report will be generated at the time of execution.
- Time of Day for report
- Hours - Active when Enable is selected. Select the Hour the report is to be run, from 0 to 23.
- Minutes - Active when Enable is selected. Select the Minute the report is to be run, from 0 to 59 minutes.
- Seconds - Active when Enable is selected. Select the Second the report is to be run, from 0 to 59 seconds.
- OK - The job report is saved and can be executed by the Job Manager.
Report Job Procedure
The following procedure is a baseline procedure to produce a job report for all of the templates. It can be used for all the reports. See Figure 1 for locations.
- From the Application View Bar, select the Create icon (
). The Create New Report Job screen will be displayed. - Click on the New button in the Report Job Manager window to access the Create New Report Job window.
- Input the Report Job Name field with a name for this report job.
- Input the Report Name field with a name for this report.

Note: After the report job has been saved, it can be re-executed at a later date. Modifying the Report Name field produces an updated list of ONTs configured on the selected OLT with the same field selections. - Select a report template from the Report Template dropdown list.

- Select the OLTs for the report from the Available OLTs list. All OLTs is the default selection in the Selected Values window.
- Values can be transferred between Available Values and Selected Values by double-clicking on the value or by using the (>) or (<) tab.

- Select the fields for the report from the Selected Fields list. All fields are default selections displayed in the Selected Fields window.
- Transfer any fields that are not needed for the report by double-clicking on the Selected Field or by using the (<) tab to move the field to the Available Fields window.

- Select Enable and schedule the Day of Week and Hours/Minutes/Seconds.

Caution: Failure to schedule a day and time may cause the EMS to run continuous reports and jam up the system.

- Select Ok to load the report parameters. The Report Job Manager screen is displayed.

- Select Execute to generate the report, then select Refresh to monitor the status of the job report. The execution time and the status will be displayed.

Note: To execute the scheduled job at a non-scheduled time, select the Report Job and click Execute to generate a report on demand. Otherwise, the report job will be executed at the scheduled time.

- Select Refresh to check when the report has finished running. This may take more than one Refresh.
- When the Status shows Pending select the Close button.

Note: When jobs are showing a Pending status, it means they are properly configured and ready to be executed at the scheduled time.

- Repeat this procedure for any of the listed Job Report templates.
