Database Synchronization

A manual synchronization cannot be initiated if another synchronization is already in progress for the selected OLT. During the synchronization process, the Start Full Sync button is disabled.

A manual synchronization may be initiated during an OLT backup, but not during an OLT restore. The

Sync view and fields are described in Database Synchronization Overview.

To manually perform a database synchronization:

1. In the Common Tree, select the OLT.
2. In the Application View Bar, click the Sync icon ().
3. Confirm that a synchronization is not in progress and click the Start Full Sync button.

   Note: The following message is displayed when other operations are underway.

   Note: Panorama PON allows up to eight separate OLT synchronizations occurring at one time on the server. If eight synchronizations are already in process, the ninth request is queued.

4. Monitor the OLT synchronization indicators and see Sync Status Information for more information.
   • The Full Sync Status indicates In Progress.
   • Status indicators display the status as each item is completed.
   • If an error occurs, appears for that component and the Sync Log indicates the error condition.

If there are no errors, the Sync view displays the full sync start date and time and ends with the full sync end date and time.

5. Click the Detail button to view a dialog with additional activity details.
