Delete

Before proceeding, review the following restrictions:

  • A profile that is associated with an Ethernet port cannot be deleted.
  • The default profile cannot be deleted.
  • Multiple profiles can be deleted at one time.

When a profile is deleted, the information is removed from the OLT database and any OLTs that used the profile. The DSCP Mapping Profile Delete Status dialog (described in this procedure) provides the ability to monitor the status and results of a profile deletion request.

Use the following procedure to delete a DSCP Mapping Profile:

  1. Select the Profile Name from the Profile/Template List to edit and click the Delete a Selected Profile () icon in the Main Menu bar or right-click the profile name and use the pop-up menu to select Delete.

  2. A Warning Message is displayed.

  3. Click on the Yes button.
  4. The DSCP Mapping Profile Delete Status will be displayed during the update, to be followed by the status.

  5. When finished, with no errors reported, click on the Close button.
  6.  If errors are reported, the exceptions appear in the Error Status section. Do one of the following:
    • Click Retry to update these OLTs again
    • Click Terminate to end the process with the errors.
Note: Typically, these OLT errors are caused by a loss of communication between the Panorama PON server and the OLT.
  1. When terminating a process with errors, a warning message confirms that the process was aborted. In the dialog that appears, click on the OK button.
  2. When finished, click on the Close button.
  3. If no further profiles are to be deleted, click on the Cancel button to close the Delete DSCP Mapping Profile dialog.
  4. When finished, click on the Close button.
  5. Click on the Close button again to exit the Ethernet Port Profiles screen.
