19" Tellabs OLT1 Optical Line Terminal

The Tellabs OLT1 is packaged and shipped to the customer, ready for installation.
Information Note: Shelf extensions are required if the Tellabs® OLT1 shelf is to be installed in a 23-inch rack and must be ordered separately.

Overview

The Tellabs FlexSym® Optical Line Terminal One (OLT1) provides a small form-factor OLT supporting both GPON and XGS-PON in the same OLT. It provides flexible choices for designing a modern enterprise network to exactly align with contemporary connectivity such as IoT, wireless, cloud, open/shared office and smart buildings demands. Efficiently converge all enterprise connectivity by leveraging fiber cabling’s limitless capacity deep into buildings and campus by equipping the OLT1 with the precise 2.5G or 10G PON capacity that is warranted - thus, minimizing space, energy and costs.

OLT1 LED Behavior

  LED   Indications   Comments
PON CPU STAT

Red Solid

Approximately 7 seconds after inserting the power cable, the PON CPU STAT illuminates red solid. The PON CPU STAT LED will remain red solid until initialization.

Green Blink Fast  When the PON CPU STAT indication is green, blinking fast (Initializing), the LED blinks at a ½ second (½ second on, ½ second off) duty cycle to indicate the unit is currently in the process of initializing.
Green Solid   After turnup the PON CPU STAT illuminates green Solid.
OLT CPU STAT Red Solid

After approximately 7 seconds after inserting the power cable, the OLT CPU STAT illuminates red solid. The OLT CPU STAT LED will remain red solid until initialization.

 Green Blink Fast

When the OLT CPU STAT indication is green, blinking fast (Initializing), the LED blinks at a ½ second (½ second on, ½ second off) duty cycle to indicate the unit is currently in the process of initializing.

Green Solid After turnup the OLT CPU STAT illuminates green Solid.
ACT - Board Status LED Green Solid After approximately 7 seconds after inserting the power cable the ACT LED illuminates GREEN and the cooling fans for the shelf star. When turnup starts the LED goes dark and returns to green solid after completion of turnup.
Dark The ACT LED indication remains dark during turnup.

Green Solid  After turnup the ACT LED illuminates green Solid.
XFP 1 Low Signal - Indicates the power status of the PON

Green Solid When the XFP Low Signal indication is green sold, it indicates that All ranged ONT serial numbers are above the SD threshold. This LED shall not indicate the state of any missing or unexpected ONTs. The intent of this state is to indicate that the optical quality is good for all ranged ONTs.

Amber Solid

When the XFP Signal LED indication is amber solid, it indicates that one or more Ranged ONT serial numbers have crossed the SD BER threshold. This state indicates that for the ranged ONTs, maintenance is required on the PON.

Red Solid

When the XFP Low Signal LED indication is red solid, it indicates that all provisioned ONTs are below SF. This can be measured by all being in a failed/LOPL-LOS state. The intent is that this LED go red when there is no received signal on the PON or all received signals are below SF.
Dark

When the XFP Low Signal LED indication is dark, it indicates that no ONTs have been provisioned on the PON. Unexpected ONTs are ignored.
