Edit
Any Service (SVC) profile (except the default profile) can be edited. When editing a profile, all ONTs that the profile has been applied to are automatically updated by the following internal actions:
- The profile is saved to the server database, and an internal list is generated of all ONTs using the profile.
- Profile updates are sent to these ONTs.
- Changing a profile will affect all ONTs managed by the EMS.
- Each profile is deactivated and then reactivated to re-synchronize the line with the provisioned settings.

Caution: Editing a profile is momentarily service affecting to all lines associated with that profile.

Note: Only one profile can be edited at a time. All fields of an PON profile can be edited, except the Profile Name.
Use the following procedure to edit an SVC profile:
- Select the Profile Name from the Profile/Template List to edit and click the Edit a Current Profile (
) icon in the Main Menu bar or right-click the profile name and use the pop-up menu to select Edit. The Edit SVC Profile dialog is displayed.

- In the Edit SVC Profile dialog, edit the selected profile attributes to change the network behavior.

Note: For a description of each profile attribute and valid entry values, refer to the Create section table. - After making changes to the profile attributes, click on the Apply button.
- The SVC Profile Edit Status dialog will be blank while the profile is updated and the result will be displayed showing the status when complete.

- When the update is finished, with no errors reported, click on the Close button.
- If errors are reported, the exceptions appear in the Error Status section. Do one of the following:
- Click Retry to update these ONTs again
- Click Terminate to end the process with the errors.

Note: Typically, these OLT errors are caused by a loss of communication between the Panorama PON server and the OLT.
- When terminating a process with errors, a warning message confirms that the process was aborted. In the dialog that appears, click on the OK button.

Note: Manual synchronization can be performed to update these ONTs. However, if the errors are caused by a communication loss, Panorama PON automatically performs a mini synchronization when communication is restored. - When the update is finished, click on the Close button.
-
Go to Step 2 to edit more profiles.
-
If no further profiles are to be edited, click on the Cancel button to close the Ethernet Port SVC Profile dialog.
- Click on the Close button again to exit the Profiles dialog.
