Events View

OLT Events

Use the following procedure to monitor events for a single OLT or all configured OLTs.

1. Select the desired OLT in the Common Tree.

   Note: Selecting the OLT in the Common Tree displays the events that have occurred for all configured OLTs

2. Click the Events icon () in the Application View Bar.
3. Click the OLT Events tab. The events that have occurred in the selected OLT, or all OLTs, are displayed.
   
   
    
4. The following table describes the contents of the OLT Events display.
    

   Event Entry	Description
   Time	Date and time the event occurred
   OLT IP Address	Internet Protocol (IP) address of the OLT
   OLT Name	Name of OLT (same as Target Identifier (TID))
   Location	Location of the component that caused the event
   Type	Type of event that occurred.
   Probable Cause	Cause of the event.
   Description	Description of the event.

    

Security Events

Use the following procedure to monitor Security Events for all configured OLTs or a selected OLT.

1. Select the OLT in the Common Tree.

   Note: Selecting the OLT in the Common Tree displays the Security Events that have occurred for all configured OLTs.

2. Click the Security Events tab. The Security Events, if any for the selected OLT, will be displayed.
   
   
    
3. The following table describes the contents of the Security Events display.
    

   Event Entry	Description
   Time	Date and time the event occurred
   OLT IP Address	Internet Protocol (IP) address of the OLT.
   OLT Name	Target Identifier (TID) of the OLT.
   Location	Location of the component that caused the event.
   Type	Type of event that occurred.
   Probable Cause	Cause of the event.
   Description	Description of the event.

    

Viewing Event Details

Information describing a specific event is displayed in columns across the screen. The Event Details presents all of the event information in a readable format.

Use the following procedure to display the OLT Events or Security Events:

1. Select the desired OLT in the Common Tree.
2. Click the Events icon (), in the Application View Bar. The Events relative to the selected OLT, if any, are displayed in the Active Application Window.
   
   
    
3. To display details of a specific event, right-click on the event and select Details. The Event Details screen displays.
   
   
    
4. The Event Details screen displays information relative to the event. This information consists of:
    

   Event Entry	Description
   Time	Date and time the event occurred
   OLT IP Address	Internet Protocol (IP) address of the OLT.
   OLT Name	Target Identifier (TID) of the OLT.
   Location	Location of the component that caused the event.
   Type	Type of event that occurred.
   Probable Cause	Cause of the event.
   Description	Description of the event.

5. Click the Close button to exit the Event Details screen.
