Fan Trays
To turn up the fan tray:
- At the DC Rectifier Shelf, open the DC Distribution panel and install the proper-sized GMT fuses in the appropriate fuse locations.
- Observe, on the fan tray, that the STATUS LED illuminates GREEN.
- Is the STATUS LED illuminated GREEN?
- If YES, go to Step 4.
- If NO, perform the following:
- Verify that the fan tray connector on the rear of the fan tray is properly connected.
- Using a Digital Multi-Meter (DMM) verify that -48Vdc is present at the power inputs to the Fan Tray (refer to the following table).

- Verify that the proper size fuse is installed in the correct fuse location in the DC Rectifier Shelf.
- Verify the operation of the fans by pressing the TEST button, located on the front of the fan tray. Air movement should be felt in the shelf above the fan tray.
- Is air movement felt while pressing the TEST button?
- Release the TEST button.
