Hardware and Software Inventory
Use the Inventory (
) icon in the Application View Bar to view hardware and software inventory for a selected OLT, a remote shelf, and ranged or configured ONTs. This function is supported for all types of OLTs.
Viewing the OLT or Remote Shelf Inventory

) con. The Hardware/Software EMS Database inventory is displayed.

- By default, the All Equipment inventory in the EMS Database is displayed:

Note: When selecting data from an Optical Line Terminal (OLT) a confirmation dialog displays explaining that retrieving data directly from the OLT is time-consuming. If acceptable, click Yes. - To view All Equipment inventory, click the Inventory drop-down arrow and select the All Equipment option.
- To view Ranged ONTs, click the Inventory drop-down arrow and select Ranged ONT.
- To view Configured ONTs, click the Inventory drop-down arrow and select Configured ONT.
- To retrieve the information directly from the OLT, click the Data From drop-down arrow and select Optical Line Terminal (OLT). The displayed inventory changes to reflect what is actually stored within the OLT memory.
- The table below contains descriptions of the fields that can be displayed, depending on the Inventory and Data From options selected.

Note: When selecting an option from the Inventory drop-down list, Panorama PON refreshes the information based on the selection. To update the display window again, click Refresh.
Sorting Columns in the Inventory View
Clicking on any column heading sorts the display in either ascending or descending alpha-numeric order, keyed on the selected column. For example, clicking the AID column provides an ascending or descending list of cards, followed by a list of the associated remote shelves, as configured.
Saving Inventory Data
The displayed inventory can be saved to a comma-separated value (.csv) or ASCII text (.txt) file on the local host. These formats can be directly imported into applications such as Microsoft Excel® or Access®, without manual modification. On a Windows-based client platform, the default directory is x:bbmgrclientxxxclientdataInventoryFiles*.csv where xxx represents the Panorama PON software version.
To save the inventory data for the selected OLT or remote shelf:
- In the Common Tree, select the OLT or remote shelf.
- To display the inventory for a specific remote shelf, expand the OLT by double-clicking it.
- Continue expanding until the desired remote shelf appears and select that shelf.

) . - If necessary, sort the inventory to display in the desired order by clicking the corresponding column heading.
