Install 1100 Series OLT Software

Note: These procedures require downloading files from the Tellabs Nexus website. In these examples, Panorama PON and OLT Programming will be downloaded to the C: drive. When needed, execute these files from the Downloads folder.

1. Launch an Internet Explorer browser and go to: https://nexus.tellabs.com/
2. Click on Login and log into the Tellabs Nexus site with your assigned username and password.
3. On the menu bar, select Support » Downloads » Optical LAN Software »Generally Available (GA) software » GA OLAN Windows Software.
4. Choose the most recent version for your OLT/ONT application.

• PanoramaPon_31.X.X.X_Win.exe
• SR31.X_XXXXXX.exe
   

5. Download the Panorama PON and/or OLT Software to the Panorama PON EMS Server.

   Note: The files are large and will take a while to download (30+ min).

   1. Select and double click the latest Panorama PON Revision and download to your windows Download folder.
   2. Select and double click the latest OLT Revision and download to your windows Download folder.

      Note: The example shown above is for reference and may not be the latest revision.

Install Software

To install the OLT software using the self-extracting installer, follow these steps:

Note: The steps for loading the OLT software are performed here on Windows Server 2012. The screens may look different depending on the version of Windows in use.

1. Depending on the browser, the software will download to the Downloads folder, or it will prompt the user to Save File or Cancel dialog is displayed. Click on the Save File button. This also saves it to the Downloads folder. It may take a few minutes for the file to download. 
   
   
    

2. Locate the file in the Downloads folder and double-click on it to start the installation. An Open File - Security Warning dialog is displayed. Click on the Run button.
   
   
    

9. The InstallAnywhere pop-up window is displayed.
   
   
    
10. After installation, the Introduction dialog is displayed.
    
    
     
11. The Choose Staging Area dialog is displayed. 
    
    
     

12. Click on the Next button to accept the default location.
13. The Pre-Installation Summary screen is displayed.  
    
    
     
14. Verify that the staging area is correct. If not, click on the Previous button to change the location.
15. Click on the Install button when the Staging Area data is correct. 
    
    
     
16. The Installing Tellabs 1100 Series Software Release window appears. A progress bar at the bottom of the screen, and information about what is being installed is displayed.
    
    
     

17. The Staging Complete window appears. Click on the Done button to complete the installation.
