ONT Config Examples
Place an ONT in eStop
Note: Placing an ONT in eSTOP on the PON will cause it to stop transmitting onto the PON and turn off its laser transmitter. It will still listen on the PON.

press Enter. - Input ont forced-stop-mode true, and press Enter.
- Input commit and press Enter. Outputs similar to the following are displayed:

Remove an ONT from eStop

ONT Replacement
Note: If the user has an ONT on the PON which will be replaced with a different ONT, editing the serial number will cause the ONT to be configured into the same ONT id and configuration will be converted and assigned to the new ONT.

Show Tolt ONT Unexpected
The unexpected ONT menu gives a list of ONTs that have arrived on the PON but are not currently configured.

Serial-Number String The serial number of the ONT. Pon-id MDS1-1-<pon>
where pon 1..16The AID of the PON where the ONT was located. Type String The type of ONT that was found on the PON. Arrival-time Date time The date and time when the ONT first arrived onto the PON. Arrival-count 1..65535 The number of times the ONT has “arrived” on the PON.
- From the MDS1-ESUA# command line, input show tolt ont unexpected and press Enter.
- Input commit and press Enter. Outputs similar to the following are displayed:
