Logging

Edit or display network server logging attributes.

Information

Note 1: * = required parameter, + = select one parameter from list
Note 2: **ne - Substitute olt for ne on the OLT2/OIU2 command lines.

  • Command Path - >ne logging
  • Command Path - >olt logging
  • Object - logging
  • Actions -
    • Edit - 
      • * type - Select log type
        • * syslog edit syslog
          • dst - syslog destination, no dst means delete specific dst  
            • + monitor - syslog destination monitor
            • + server - syslog destination server
          • global-admin= - set administrative state for syslog
            • enabled | disabled
    • show
      • Type Select the system log type statistics to be displayed  
        • * syslog Security log typer
        • oam-log show oam-log
    • statistics
      • Type  Select the system log type configuration to be displayed
        • * syslog - statistics syslog
    • status
      • last Select last 
        • records= Show the last n syslog records
          • 1-999
      • * type Select the system log type status to be displayed
        • + oam-log - status oam-log 
        • + syslog - status syslog 

Edit logging syslog Configuration Attributes

Use the above syslog parameters to edit the logging configuration.

 

  1. From the ESUx command line, input **ne logging edit type syslog, and press Enter. Output similar to the following is displayed: 
    ESUx> **ne logging edit type syslog <enter>
    success: Set Syslog Config complete.

Display Network Element syslog Configuration

  1. From the ESUx> command line, input **ne logging show type syslog, and press Enter. Output similar to the following is displayed: 
    ESUx> **ne logging show type syslog <enter>

  1. From the ESUx> command line, input **ne logging statistics type syslog, and press Enter. Output similar to the following is displayed:
