MCAST

The mcast command displays information about downstream multicast groups. Information can be displayed for one slot, one port, one multicast IP address, or all multicast groups.

Information Note 1: + = select one parameter from list
Note 2:  mcast was replaced in 6050xx and above
  • Command Path - mcast>p <port> or -a <multicast IP Address>
  • Action - 
    • +p port
    • +a - multicast IP Address 
  1. From the ESUx> prompt, input mcast, and press Enter. The following prompt is displayed:
    ESU2C> mcast p <enter>
    Usage: MCAST [-p <port> or -a <multicast IP Address>
  2. To display information for one multicast address, type the IP address, and press Enter.

  3. Otherwise, press Enter to display all available multicast group information. The following prompt appears for a Tellabs 1150 system:

    Downstream QOIU Slot (1..16), Downstream EAS1 Port (1..20) or All [All] :

 

  1. The following prompt appears for a Tellabs 1134 system:
    Downstream IO Slot (1..4), Subtending Port (5..6) or All [All] :
  2. To display multicast information for one slot or port, type the slot or port number, and press Enter.

  3. Otherwise, press Enter to display information for all available slots/ports. The following is an example of information displayed for all multicast groups on the network element:

  4. The following is an example of information displayed for all multicast groups on one slot (e.g., QOIU slot 3):
