Installation Prerequisites
Prior to installing any software, the following list of prerequisites should be met:

Note: The Panorama PON EMS client is not able to access or control any network element on the PON except through a Panorama PON EMS server. |
General
- Review and verify the server hardware and software requirements for Panorama PON EMS (See Requirements for Windows)
- Obtain and configure the server platform(s) with static IP address(es).
Windows
- Ensure that all Windows updates have been installed. This may require several iterations of the Windows Update process.
- Configure Dual NIC Systems, if needed. (See Configuring Dual NIC Systems to Support Integrated TConfig for more information.)
- If a JAVA_OPTIONS environment variable exists, disable it.
- If a PERL5LIB environment variable exists, disable it.
- The Panorama PON EMS server must be installed on a platform the client can connect to.
Oracle
- Oracle must be installed before Panorama PON EMS is installed.
- The default directories for Oracle and Panorama PON EMS installations are:
- c:Oracle
- c:TellabsPanoramaPONbbmgr
If these default directories are not used, ensure that Oracle is not installed in the same root directory tree where Panorama PON EMS is installed.
- If a JAVA_OPTIONS environment variable exists, disable it.
- If a PERL5LIB environment variable exists, disable it.
- The Panorama PON EMS server must be installed on a platform the client can connect to.
