Use the following procedure to view or edit the ONT Property:

|
Field |
Description |
| NE IP Address | The Internet Protocol (IP) address of the NE (ONT). |
| NE Target Identifier | Target identifier (TID) of the selected NE (ONT). |
| Port AID | The access identifier (AID) for the GPON port |
| ONT AID | The AID for the selected ONT. |
| ONT ID | The identification number for the selected ONT (range is 1-32 per GPON port). |
|
Serial Number |
The serial number of this ONT. To activate by Serial Number, this entry must match the serial number of the ONT. The serial number must contain four characters plus eight digits (0-9) and it must be unique (that is, each provisioned ONT on one GPON port must have a unique serial number, except when pre-provisioned with the default value of TSLS00000000). Note: When the Serial Number field is protected, the ONT is locked. Refer to Registration Status for additional details. |
|
Upstream BER Threshold |
|
|
Failure |
Indicates the configured threshold for the upstream bit error rate (BER). This is used to indicate a signal failure on the PON link. When the BER becomes greater than, or equal to, this threshold, an ONT LOPL-SF (Signal Failure) alarm is generated. Note: To configure this property, refer to “Configuring PON Ports, Statistics, and PON Protection”. |
|
Maintenance |
Indicates the configured threshold for the upstream bit error rate (BER). This is used to indicate a degraded signal on the PON link. When the BER becomes greater than or equal to this threshold, an ONT BER Maintenance (Signal Degraded) alarm is generated. Note: To configure this property, refer to “Configuring PON Ports, Statistics, and PON Protection”. |
|
Registration Status and Check box to Unlock |
The Registration Status indicates whether the ONT is Locked or Unlocked:
Select the check box to unlock the Serial Number field and activate a new ONT. For example, when an ONT is replaced at the subscriber premises, select this field, and click Apply to unlock the old information. Enter the new Serial Number to activate the new ONT. |
|
Admin state |
Provides the option to enable or disable the admin state of an ONT. When an ONT is functioning incorrectly, set the Admin state to Disabled. This isolates the ONT for troubleshooting purposes. The ONT automatically sets the Admin state to Disabled when any of the following conditions are detected:
Note 1: When the Admin state is set to Disabled, Panorama PON does not attempt to range and activate the ONT. When the Admin state is set to Enabled, Panorama PON attempts to range and activate the ONT. Note 2: Same as ITU G.984 Emergency Stop (eStop). Disabled means eStop is on. |
