Port AIDs
AID Formats
This topic describes AID formats that may appear in the alarm Location field for Optical LAN OLTs. An AID or Access Identifier is the unique name of a port, component or resource within the System. The Table below describes the AID formats and related system components, listed in alphabetical order by AID.
AID Formats - OLT Components
| AID | COMPONENT | DESCRIPTION |

| COM | OLT connection to EMS | OLT unavailable Note: COM (communication) is used to indicate the "system" in general, since the fault cannot be isolated to a single unit. In the case of a loss of EMS to OLT communication, it could be the facility (GbE), the IP network, or the ESU. As a result, the fault is attributed to COM. |

Equipment Hierarchy
Full hierarchical support identifies all equipment of a given type in a specific hierarchy. These commands use a new parameter called Access-Identifier, alias aid=.
- eth1-1-1-1
- ETH1-1-1-1
- MDS1-IO9
- mds1-io9
This is currently supported on these commands:
- ifc port (allowing shelf, card, pon, ont, port)
- ont (allowing shelf, card, pon, ont)
- ifc pon (allowing shelf, card, pon) (e.g., the following edits all ports on slots 9 and 10.)
ESUx> ifc port edit aid=9-10
disablepon
The disablepon command disables the PON port identified by the AID.
- Conmmand - disablepon
- From the ESUx line command, input disablepon, and press Enter. Information similar to the following is displayed:
ESUx> disablepon <enter> Enter AIDs separated by commas (100 char max):
