Power Problem

Description

This alarm is signaled when ESU11, ESU2, or ESU30 detects that one of the two power leads on the backplane is not within the nominal range of -56V to -42.5V. The supported A-B alarming typically indicates that power is not attached to one of the backplane leads or that a rectifier module or the DC power supply has failed.

The alarm clears when power is restored within the specified nominal range or the rectifier is replaced. Refer to the Tellabs 1150 Optical Line Terminal Description, Installation and Turnup Guide − Maintenance, for details about replacing a rectifier module on the OLT1150 shelf, and restoring power.

Trouble Clearing

The probable cause of this alarm is: 

  • The power is not attached to the backplane lead or the rectifier or CC power supply has failed and needs replacement.
