Power Up
This section describes powering up and initializing the Tellabs OLT2.
- Insert the 8-pin molex power cable into the power input socket at the back of the Tellabs OLT2.

Note: The Tellabs OLT2 does not have a power on/off switch, as it is not intended to power down the shelf while it is in service. Inserting the power cable will cause the unit to power up.
- Approximately 7 seconds after inserting the power cable, the FAIL LED illuminates RED, the ACTV LED illuminates GREEN and the cooling fans for the shelf start.
- During the power-up diagnostics, the ACTV LED blinks GREEN at a 0.5-second interval and the FAIL LED remains red. This is followed at a time later, by the ACTV LEDs blinking GREEN at a 0.5 second interval.
- Upon completion of initialization, the ACTV LED illuminates GREEN, the FAN STAT illuminates GREEN, and the FAIL LED goes dark.
- The initialization takes 2 - 3 minutes to complete.
