Power Up the OLT1
This section describes powering up and initializing the Tellabs OLT1.
- Insert the power cable into the power input socket at the back of the Tellabs OLT1. Connect the other cable lead into a 120/240 VAC outlet or use a 208V/240V outlet to power up the unit, within the European Union.

Note: The Tellabs OLT1 does not have a power on/off switch, as it is not intended to power down the shelf while it is in service. Inserting the power cable will cause the unit to power up.
- Approximately 7 seconds after inserting the power cable, the STAT OLT CPU and STAT PON CPU LEDs illuminate RED, the ACT LED illuminates GREEN and the cooling fans for the shelf start.
- During the power-up diagnostics, the STAT OLT CPU LED blinks GREEN at a 0.5 second interval and the ACT LED goes dark. This is followed at a time later, by the STAT PON CPU LEDs blinking GREEN at a 0.5 second interval.
- Upon completion of initialization, the LEDs illuminate as described in the Table below. The initialization takes 2 - 3 minutes to complete.
