Profile Filter

The Type filter displays a dropdown list of profiles to select.

The Name filter reduces the list to a specific or range of selections.

The Edit, Duplicate and Delete icons provide the user the ability to edit the profile attributes. Selecting the Edit icon activates the Working Profile functions.

Information Note: Create and name change have not been implemented.

Working Profile

The Working Profile opens the profile for user editing, discard any changes and to save the changes.

Profile Edit Procedure

When editing a profile, all ONTs that are using the profile are automatically updated by the following internal actions:
  • The edited profile is saved to the server database and generates an internal list of all ONTs using the profile.
  • Profile updates are sent to the ONTs that use the profile.
  • Each profile is deactivated and reactivated to re-synchronize the line with the provisioned settings.
Danger WarningEditing a profile is momentarily service-affecting to all lines associated with that profile.
Information Note: Only one profile can be edited at a time. All fields of a profile can be edited, except the Profile Name.
  1. Select the Profile from the Type dropdown list (e.g. NAC Profiles) and the Profile (e.g. Default) to edit.

  2. Click on Edit icon of the selected profile to transfer the selected NAC Profile to the Working Profile.

  3. Select the Open icon to access the fields to edit.

  4. Update the desired profile attributes and the select the Save icon.

  5. To cancel any changes, select the Discard icon.

  6. When the database is not updated it may be caused by a loss of communication between the Panorama PON server and the OLT.
  • Wait a period and click Save to update these ONTs again.
  • Click Discard to end the edit process.

Profile Delete

Before proceeding, review the following restrictions:

A profile that is associated with an Ethernet port or subscriber line cannot be deleted.

  • The default profile cannot be deleted.
When a profile is deleted, the information is removed from the database and any OLTs that used the profile.

  1. Click the Delete icon to remove a profile from the Profile list.

  2. The system will cross out the selection and remove it from the Profile list.
