Restore an Available Certificate Backup
The certificateMgr is able to restore security certificates from any backup that has been created using the backupems command.
To restore a certificate backup file, follow these steps:
- From the Certificate Manager Menu, type 2, and press Enter. The following list of stored backup files and the prompt are displayed.
Enter the number of the backup from which the certificates are to be restored 1 201106071650.dmp 2 cancel [1] _
- Type the number corresponding to the backup file to be restored, and press Enter. The following messages and prompts are displayed.
Restoration Log Directory is c:tellabspanoramaponuseremsadminbackuplogs Restoring from disk Backup Files Directory is c:tellabspanoramaponuseremsadminbackupfiles Backup File Name is 201106071650.dmp This backup was created on Tue Jun 7 16:50:50 2011 Is this the backup that is to be restored [y] _
- Is the selected backup file the one to be restored?
- The following prompt is displayed.
Panorama Certificate Administrator Name? _
- Type the Certificate Administrator Username, and press Enter. The following prompt is displayed.
Panorama Certificate Administrator Password? _
- Type the Certificate Administrator Password, and press Enter. The following messages are displayed, followed by the certifateMgr menu.
Restoring Panorama Certificates... Pon EMS certificate import or restore successful
- The Certificate Manager menu is displayed.
