RTP Monitoring
RTPMON
To monitor Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) rtpmon flows of multicast flows that are managed by IGMP. An active RTP flow must be joined by a host for the NE to monitor it.
| Note: Traffic monitoring automatically terminates 15 minutes after monitoring is enabled or 15 minutes after the RTPSTAT command is entered (whichever occurs last). Each RTPSTAT command extends traffic monitoring for 15 minutes. |

Command Path - rtpmon (enable|disable) (IP address of multicast flow)

Object - IP address of multicast flow

- To execute rtpmon against an active multicast flow, at the ESUx> command line, input rtpmon enable 200 239.1.1.6 and press Enter.

ESUx> rtpmon enable 200 239.1.1.6 <enter>

The system responds with:
ESUx> rtpmon enable 200 239.1.1.6
RTPMON ENABLED
ESUx> _
Once the command is active, the status of the RTP monitoring command can be viewed by executing the rtpstat command (see rtpstat).

From the ESUx> command line, input rtpstat, and press Enter. The following status is displayed.
ESUx> rtpstat <enter> VLAN 200 Src IP 0.0.0.0 Dest IP 172.28.122.100 #Non RTP Packets 0 #RTP Flows 2 Stream Counters 0 packets

When the monitoring is complete, at the ESUx> command line, input rtpmon disable and press Enter. The following status is displayed.

Note: rtpmon will automatically be disabled 15 minutes after enabled. ESUx> rtpmon disable <enter>
