Serial Session

To establish a Serial session on Windows-based computers, follow the instructions below.

Serial Session

When connecting directly to the OLT using the serial port, the serial parameters should be configured for a standard N-8-1 settings as follows: 

• Speed: 38,400
• Data bits: 8
• Parity: none
• Stop bits: 1

1. Click on the PuTTY  Icon to open the application. After installation, the PuTTY Configuration is displayed.
    
2. Select the Collection Type: Serial radio button and click on the SSH Serial Category selection. 
   
   
    
3. After loading, Configure the serial line dialog is displayed.
   
   
   
   
    
4. Input the Speed, Data Bits, and Stop Bits and click on the Open button to start the session.
5. After loading, the Terminal Screen and login dialog is displayed.
