If you are upgrading the EMS from a version 31.3 or before to any release 31.4 or later, there is no upgrade path with Postgres database. The 31.3 version of the EMS uses a 9.x version of the postgres database. The 31.4 and above uses the 14.x version of the postgres database. There are incompatible postgres schema elements that prevent a direct upgrade. In addition, it is recommended that the release notes for SR31.4 section 5 Upgrade Considerations be consulted for additional information on this upgrade.
