Users

This section provides procedures to managing user accounts within Panorama PON EMS.

Information Note 1: Panorama PON supports four user roles; Administrator, Certificate Admin, Read-Only, and Read-Write.
Information Note 2: This section requires Administration privileges.

USER Profile 


 

The following User profile attributes are available for user viewing.

  • User Name - User identification as assigned by the system administrator 
  • State - A user account has three possible login states:
    • Enabled - The user can log in to the system.
    • Disabled - The user account has been disabled.
  • Tenant - The name of the residency of the domain.
  • Roles - There are four different roles and each provides a different level of capabilities. 
    • Read-Write - Role assigned to those tasked with performing daily system tasks, i.e., managing equipment, profiles, links. VLANs, services, OLT software downloads, alarm/event management, OLT backup/restore, port management, and system inventories.
    • Read-Only - Role typically assigned to those individuals that are tasked with performing non-system affecting tasks, i.e., monitoring system activity.
    • Administrator - Role assigned to system administrators. The only tasks, typically, that an administrator cannot perform are management or security certificates.
    • Certificate Admin - Role assigned to the designated individuals that are concerned with performing certificate-related tasks, (i.e., managing security certificates.)
  • Actions - They include Edit, Create, Delete and Enable/Disable.

Filtering


 

Users may be located with the following filtering tools.

  • Username - Input Username
  • State - Select the State from radio buttons
  • Tenant - Select the Tenant from a dropdown list
  • Role(s) - Select the Role from a dropdown list 
  • Clear Filters - Returns filter to default view

Editing

Update Profile 

The Administrator has the ability to change the following profiles of a user:

  • Allow Login
  • Roles
  • Policy Profile
  1. Select the Edit icon to access the editing tools.
  2. After updating a user profile, click on the Save User button.

Authentication - Change Password 

  1. Enter a new password
  2. Confirm password
  3. After changing password, click on the Save Password button.

Delete

To delete a user, click on the Trash Can icon.
