DoD Requirements
In order to meet DoD STIG guidelines, database files must be physically separated onto a separate disk or separate partition to ensure proper protection of database files. As such the disks for all DoD systems must utilize one of the following configurations:
- 2 Physical Disk Drives, one for OS and Panorama and one for Database files. OR
- 2 Disk Drives in a RAID 1 configuration with two partitions on the primary drive. The second partition must be a minimum of 20GB.
- In a VM environment two separate virtual drives with the second virtual drive being a minimum of 20GB.
In addition, the server disk drives must be backed up to a secure location on a regular basis.
Some DoD sites also require TPM (Trusted Platform Module) which is a secure crypto-processor to be present in the server hardware. Please consult your local IT management to determine whether a TPM module is required for your application.
VMWare Virtual Machine Requirements
Panorama OLAN Manager is supported on VMWare with the following requirements. Panorama has not been tested on any other virtualization platforms.

| NIC | ||
|
1 GB NIC required, two or more recommended. In most networks, a 2nd NIC is needed for TConfig. Also convenient for isolating management uplink and OLT connection for security reasons.
