Backup OLT Database

A backup can be used to restore the system to a known configured state in the event of catastrophic failure and should be run any time a maintenance procedure is conducted.

Note: The backup is tied to a software version.

WARNING: Downgrade is not supported; you must switch back to the previous release and restore in the event of an upgrade failure.

1. Backup the OLT Configuration for the ESUs.
   1. Select the Backup Restore  icon in the Application window.
   2. Select the OLT in the Common Tree.
   3. Select the Backup tab In the Active window.
   4. Click on the Start Backup button.
      
      
   5. After the backup has successfully completed, click OK to finish.

Note: Should this be the final backup after Downloading the OLT Software go to PPG-Based ESU Upgrade or Standalone ESU Upgrade.
