Create

Use the following procedure to create a new ONT Template based on default ONT parameters.

The template will include up to nine rules that include profiles for:

ONT120 | ONT140 | ONT142R | ONT702 | ONT704 | ONT705 | ONT728 |ONT729 | ONT729GP | ONT180 | ONT203 | ONT205 | ONT131W | ONT121WX | ONT248 | ONT140CL | ONT202 | ONT070 | ONT248X

Note: The above list will change as we retire and add new ONTs to our inventory. Use the ont-type=? (help) in the Edit topic to get a listing of available ONTs that support the current version being used.

Note: * = required parameter

• Command Path - template>ont>create>name=<template name>
• Object - ont
• Action -
  •  create - Create an ONT template profile
    • * name= - Name of ONT profile to create

      Note: This will only create a shell for the new template.  the rules for this template will be inputted with the edit command.

1. From the ESUx> command line, input template and press Enter. Output similar to the following is displayed:

   ESUx> template <enter> ESUx template> _

2. From the ESUx template> command line, input ont create name=TellabscliTest, and press Enter. Output similar to the following is displayed:

   ESUx template> ont create name=TellabsCliTest <enter> success ESUx template> _
