Downloading Software Upgrades/Patches

Software upgrades and/or patches are made available on the Tellabs Portal (http://nexus.tellabs.com/). Upgrades and/or patches are uploaded in a compressed (.zip) format shortly after the release of the upgrade or patch. Once extracted, the upgrade or patch is in International Standards Organization (ISO) image format for Windows.

To download a zip file containing the upgrade or patch from the Tellabs Portal:

1. Launch a browser, (i.e., Firefox, Chrome).
2. Input nexus.tellabs.com in the browser address bar and press Enter.
3. Login to the Tellabs Portal.
4. Click the Support tab and select the Product Information and Downloads option.
5. Click on the Optical LAN Software button.
6. Scroll down the list to locate the desired software product, upgrade, or patch.
7. Click the file to download. It should download to the downloads' folder on the local host.
8. Navigate to the downloads folder and double-click the zip file.
9. The file is extracted.
