Provides options to edit a Port Authentication Entity (PAE) profile.

Note: * = required parameter

  • edit - Edit a pae profile
    • * name= - Name of pae profile
    • admin= - Allows administrative control over the authorization status of the Port
      • enabled | disabled (default) 
    • ConTRoL - PAE Control parameters
      • pae-auto-disable= - When enabled will cause PAE ACL to trigger if number of supplicants trying to authenticate is greater than Maximum number of authorized supplicants allowed on the port

      • pae-auto-start= - When enabled will cause force reauthentication upon line recovery
        • enabled | disabled
      • pae-auto-unauth= - When enabled and authentication is enabled, line shall be unauthenticated upon line loss

      • port= - Allows administrative control over the Port's authorization status

    • default-profile= - default radius profile name

      • MAXimum-authorized-SUPPlicants=  - Maximum number of authorized supplicants allowed on a port
        • 1 to 8 (Default 1)
      • maximum-REQuests= - The maximum number of times that the state machine will retransmit an EAP Request packet to the Supplicant before it times out the authentication session
        • 1 to 10 (default 2)
    • REAUTHentication= - Defines whether regular reauthentication will take place on this port (a value of true enables reauthentication; false disables reauthentication)

        • 30-86400 (default 3600)
    • Timers - PAE Timers (true | false)
      • quiet-period= - A timer used by the Authenticator PAE state machine to define periods of time during which it will not attempt to acquire a Supplicant
        • 0 to 65525 (default 60 sec.)
      • server-timeout= - A timer used by the Backend Authentication PAE state machine in order to determine timeout conditions in the exchanges between the Authenticator and the Authentication Server
        • 0 to 65525 (default 30 sec.)
      • supplicant-timeout= - A timer used by the Backend Authentication PAE state machine in order to determine timeout conditions in the exchanges between the Authenticator and the Supplicant
        • 0 to 65525 (default 30 sec.)
      • transmit-period= - A timer used by the Authenticator PAE state machine to determine when an EAPOL PDU is to be transmitted
        • 0 to 65525 (default 30 sec.)

1. From the ESUx> command line, input profile pae edit name=TellabsCliTest kte=true and press Enter. Output similar to the following is displayed:
