Find

Information Note: All Find operations are executed across all OLTs supported by the Panorama PON server.

 

 

ONTs User Label

If the user label of the intended ONT is known, use the following procedure to locate an ONT by the assigned User Label.
  1. From the Panorama PON Main Menu, select Edit > Find (ALT+E, F), or click the Find icon () in the Tool Bar. The Find dialog will display.
  2. In the Find dialog, select the Look in drop-down and select ONT Serial Number.
     
  1. In the Find what field, enter the ONT Serial Number or a portion of the serial number. Click on the Find button. A Search Result screen is displayed.
    Information Note: The Find what field is case sensitive. An asterisk (*) may be used as a wildcard to locate all ONTs that match the remaining criteria.

  1. In the Search Result screen, select the desired ONT and click on the GoTo button. The Ports screen, with the selected ONT, is displayed. Refer to "Working with Data and Voice Subscriber Lines" for operations that can be performed in the Ports screen.

Host Locator by MAC

The Find Host Locator by MAC provides the user with the ability to locate a Power Device (PD) when the Media Access Control (MAC) address is known.

Use the following procedure to locate a PD when the MAC address of the PD is known.

  1. From the Common Tree, select the OLT the PD is associated with.
  2. From the Main Menu, select Edit > Find (ALT+E, F), or click the Find icon () in the Tool Bar. The Find dialog is displayed.
  3. In the Find dialog, select the Look in the drop-down and select Host Locator by MAC.
     
  1. In the MAC Address field, enter the MAC Address of the PD.
    Information Note: The Find what field is case-sensitive and requires the entire MAC address to be entered.
 


 

  1. Click the Ok button to clear the Message.
  2. In the Search Result screen, select an entry, then click on the GoTo button. The Ports screen, with the corresponding Line AID displays. Refer to "Working with Data and Voice Subscriber Lines" for operations that can be performed on the Ports screen.

Host Locator by MAC and VLAN

The Find Host Locator by MAC provides the user with the ability to locate a Power Device (PD) when the Media Access Control (MAC) when the MAC address of the PD and the VLAN the PD is within is known.

Use the following procedure to locate a PD when the MAC address of the PD and the VLAN the PD is within is known.

  1. From the Common Tree, select the OLT the PD is associated with.
  2. From the Main Menu, select Edit > Find (ALT+E, F), or click the Find icon () in the Tool Bar. The Find dialog is displayed.
  3. In the Find dialog, select the Look in the drop-down and select Host Locator for MAC and VLAN.
     
  1. In the MAC Address field, enter the MAC Address of the PD.
    Information Note: The Find what field is case-sensitive and requires the entire MAC address to be entered.
  2. In the VLAN ID field, enter the VLAN associated with the PD, and click the Find button. A Search Result screen is displayed.
     
  3. Click the Ok button, to clear the message.
  4. In the Search Result screen, select an entry, then click on the GoTo button. The Ports screen, with the corresponding Line AID displays. Refer to "Working with Data and Voice Subscriber Lines" for operations that can be performed in the Ports screen.

LLDP

Use the following procedure to locate a powered device attached to a Power over Ethernet (PoE) ONT, (i.e., ONT709GP, ONT729GP, or ONT120.)

  1. From the Main Menu, select Edit > Find (ALT+E,F), or click the Find icon () in the Tool Bar. The Find dialog is displayed.
  2. In the Find dialog, select the Look in the drop-down and select LLDP
     

 
  1. In the LLDP Find dialog, select the LLDP Type drop-down and choose the desired type to perform a search.
  2. Choose from the following possible PD characteristics: System Name (default), Chassis ID, Chassis MAC, MED Location, Manufacturer, Model, Serial Number, or Asset Tag.
  3. In the LLDP Find dialog, input the appropriate information to match the LLDP Type characteristic selected, or a portion of the information with an asterisk (*), and click Find. A Search Result screen is displayed.

  4. Click the Ok button to clear the Message.
