| Question | How can I verify the EMS application is running properly on the Windows server? |

To determine if the Panorama PON server is running query the Windows service. Open a command window, with Administrator privileges, and navigate to C:TellabsPanoramaPONbbmgrserver and issue sc query PanoramaPON. Output similar to the following appears:

| Question | Once I start the server, is it ready to use immediately? |
| Answer | No. Before the server is available to use, it must perform a series of different functions, including establishing a connection and performing synchronization with all network elements. The more network elements managed, the longer it takes for the server to be ready for use. Login from the client will be successful only if the server is up and ready to use. |
| Question | Can the EMS be relocated to another network? |
| Answer | Contact Tellabs Technical Services (TAC) to move the EMS from one network to another. |
| Question | Can I download software upgrades or patches to the Tellabs 1191 Element Management System (EMS) and/or Optical Network Terminals (ONTs) from the Tellabs Portal? |
| Answer | Yes. Software upgrades or patches are posted to the Tellabs Portal shortly following the official release of the upgrade or patch. For procedures to download software upgrades, see OLT Software upgrade. |
