The Panorama PON User Manager has the capacity to change the attributes that are applied to both Admin and Non-Admin users. These attributes define the attributes that are applied to all users. These attributes dictate the security settings that are applied for both Normal and High Complexity needs.

Prior to adding users, the user password options should be analyzed and set according to local practices. When adding a new user in the Create New User dialog, the Password Aging and Max Concurrent Sessions fields can be enabled using the Enable User-specific Settings checkbox. Refer User for more information.

Default settings are provided for Normal and High Complexity and can be changed to accommodate different practices.

Use the following procedure to change the username and password attributes.

  1. Launch a Panorama PON EMS Client session.
  2. From the Main Menu, select File > Users (ALT+F, U), or click the User Manager icon (). The User Manager dialog is displayed.

  1. In the User Manager dialog, select Options > Security Setting (ALT+O, S). The User Security Setting dialog displays (Admin Users, Normal Complexity shown).

  2. Refer to the following table for the default settings applied for both Admin and Non-Admin Users, for both Normal Complexity and High-Complexity.
