OLT SNMPv3 Agent Interface Overview
The SNMP interface is supported directly by the Tellabs OLT Series, by using the OLT’s SNMP Agent application on the module. This interface supports SNMPv3 (as well as SNMPv2c, SNMPv1) for monitoring, polling, and trap notification. The SNMPv3 Agent interface provides the capability to support the standard MIBs (Interface, RMON, and MIB II) used by SNMP manager applications such as Solar Winds and Spectrum for OLT polling. The ability to encrypt the SNMP link and provide robust, secure user management features on the OLT and EMS is also enabled.
