Starting and Stopping the Client

Starting the Panorama PON EMS Client

Use the following procedure to launch the Panorama PON EMS Client for the first time:

Information Note: Should the ProgramData folder not be visible, go to Accessing Hidden Folders below.
  1. On the Windows client platform, double-click on the Windows Start Icon (). 
  2. Select the All TAB.
  3. The following is displayed.

     
  4. Scroll down to the Tellabs Folder and select the Panorama version to launch.
  5. Add Panorama PON start icon to the Desktop as follows.
    1. Press the right-click button and hold it down on the Panorama Client file.
    2. While holding the right-click button down, drag the icon to the desktop and select copy here; or
    3. While holding the right-click button down, select Pin to Start.
  6. Double-click on the Panorama Client icon to open the application.
  7. The Panorama PON Logon dialog is displayed.


     
  1. In the Login dialog, enter the current User Name and Password. click on the OK button. 
    Information

    Note: For first-time users, the default User ID is (emsadmin) and the Password is (emsadmin).
    Go to Create/Change the Server Password on Windows to create a new username and password.

  2. Click on the OK button to launch the Panorama PON EMS application.

Logging Off the Panorama PON EMS Client

Click on the Logoff Icon on the Panorama PON EMS toolbar to log off a Panorama PON EMS Client session to leave the client session active.

Information Note: The keyboard shortcut is ALT+F+L.

 Logoff and Exit from the Client

  1. To logoff and exit from a Panorama PON EMS Client session, select File > Exit from the Main Menu.
  2. The Panorama PON EMS will log the user off and close the session.

Accessing Hidden Folders

How to View Hidden Folders via File Explorer

  1. Open File Explorer, select Windows (C:) and the View tab.


     
  2. The File Explorer View Panel is displayed.


     
  3. Check the Hidden Items box to reveal the ProgramData folder.

Showing Hidden Folders via the Control Panel

  1. Go to the Start menu search bar, type in ‘control panel,’ and select Enter.
  2. The Control Panel screen is displayed.


     
  3. In the Control Panel, select Appearance and Personalization.
  4. The Appearance and Personalization screen is displayed.


     
  5. On the File Explorer Options screen, select File Explorer Options.
  6. The File Explorer Options are displayed.


     
  7. Select the View tab and check the Show hidden files, folders, and Drives radio button.
  8. Click on the OK button to view hidden folders.
  9. The ProgramData  folder is now available. Go to Starting and Stopping the Client.
