Command Prompt Postgres
To back up the Panorama PON EMS Postgres database on Windows, perform the following:
- Log on to the server using a userid that has administrative privileges.
- From the Windows Desktop, right-click on the Start
Icon and left-click on Terminal (Admin).
- The User Account Control dialog is displayed.
- Click on the Yes button.
- The Administrator: Command Prompt screen is displayed.

Note: Do not close the Administrator: Command prompt window until explicitly instructed to do so or when instructed to perform a reboot or restart of the server. 
- Log on as an administrative user and open a command prompt.
- In the Administrator: Window, enter the following command to navigate to the Panorama PON EMS server folder.
C:Tellabs> cd C:TellabsPanoramaPONbbmgrserver
- Type the backupems command with the required syntax and parameters (for detailed information, see Backupems Parameter Table). The system creates the backup and the output appears, as shown in step 9:
- Type the following command for an Example Command and Output for Postgres.
C:TellabsPanoramaPONbbmgrserver>backupems -i -u postgres -p tellabs -s EMS
- This command produces output similar to the following:
