Command Prompt Postgres

To back up the Panorama PON EMS Postgres database on Windows, perform the following:

1. Log on to the server using a userid that has administrative privileges.
2. From the Windows Desktop, right-click on the Start  Icon and left-click on Terminal (Admin).
   
   
    
3. The User Account Control dialog is displayed.
   
   
    
4. Click on the Yes button.
5. The Administrator: Command Prompt screen is displayed.

   Note: Do not close the Administrator: Command prompt window until explicitly instructed to do so or when instructed to perform a reboot or restart of the server.

   
    
6. Log on as an administrative user and open a command prompt.
7. In the Administrator: Window, enter the following command to navigate to the Panorama PON EMS server folder.

   C:Tellabs> cd C:TellabsPanoramaPONbbmgrserver

8. Type the backupems command with the required syntax and parameters (for detailed information, see Backupems Parameter Table). The system creates the backup and the output appears, as shown in step 9:
9. Type the following command for an Example Command and Output for Postgres.

   C:TellabsPanoramaPONbbmgrserver>backupems -i -u postgres -p tellabs -s EMS

10. This command produces output similar to the following:
