Common Tree Navigation
The Common Tree lists the managed OLT(s) in the network and provisioned equipment, displayed in a tree view format under the Network node
. Use the Common Tree to navigate through the configured OLT(s) and perform Panorama PON functions in the Active Application Window.
Select an item in the Common Tree and right-click to view equipment properties.
Navigating the Common Tree
- To view the OLTs configured on the Network, double-click the Network node. The configured OLTs are listed beneath the Network node, in a Windows directory tree where each level is indented from the previous level.
- To view the shelf type of a specific OLT, double-click the OLT. The shelf-type displays beneath the OLT.
- To view the PON card types provisioned installed in the OLT, double-click the shelf. The installed card types are shown within a OLT.
- To view the PON ports on a specific PON card, double-click the PON card. The available ports display.
- To view the Optical Network Terminals (ONTs) double-click the PON port.
- To collapse the display, double-click the item, to collapse to the selected level.
Alarm Indicator Colors
From the Common Tree, the highest priority alarm present can be determined by examining the OLT icon color (
). The color indicates the most severe alarm (MSA) present on that OLT. Table 1 lists the colors that can appear and a description for each color.
Table 1: Common Tree - Alarm Indicator Colors and Descriptions
| Light Emitting Diode (LED) Color | Description |
| Grey | OLT is disabled. |
| Green | OLT is configured and no alarms are present. |
| Red | OLT has an active critical alarm. |
| Orange | OLT has an active major alarm (no critical alarms present). |
| Yellow | OLT has an active minor alarm (no critical or major alarms present). |
| Cyan | OLT has an active warning (no critical, major, or minor alarms present). |
| Blue | The OLT has reported a value of "Indeterminate" for the MSA. This means that there may be alarms on this card, but the severity assigned to the alarms are "indeterminate" (refer to Alarm Color Codes and Status). |
In addition, from the Common Tree, the highest priority alarm present on a PON can be determined by examining the Eqpt icon color (
). The color indicates the most severe alarm (MSA) present on that piece of Eqpt. Table 2 lists the colors that can appear and a description for each color.
Table 2: Common Tree - Equipment Alarm Indicator Colors and Descriptions
| Light Emitting Diode (LED) Color | Description |
| Green | No alarms active |
| Yellow | Minor alarm present |
| Orange |
Major alarm present |
| Red |
Critical alarm present |
The icon for the OLT, on the Common Tree, is color coded based on the current alarm status of the OLT, as well as the ONT in the Equipment View.
