Viewing OLAN Timing Card Information

A OLT with a single or redundant pair of timing cards is either a timing server or a timing client. To view status information for an installed timing card (TDU or ESU30):

1. Logon to EMS and in the Network common tree, right-click on the target OLT and select Properties from the dropdown list. 

   Note: The timing card must be installed in the OLT.

2. Click the Timing tab.

3. If the OLT is not configured, the Timing tab provides the option to configure it as a timing server.
4. View the status data of the timing cards and refer to the field descriptions in the Table below.

   Note: To update the status information, click Refresh.

   Field	Description
   Unicast Timing Configuration
   Configure Unicast server	Select Yes check-box if configuring the timing server as unicast.
   Timing A Port	Enter values greater than 1000. The same value cannot be used for both A and B ports.
   Timing B Port	Enter values greater than 1000.
   Available Timing Clients	Displays the current status of the available timing client. Use the Add or Remove buttons to move the Available Timing clients to the Assigned Timing Client list.
   Assigned Timing Clients	Displays the current status of the assigned timing client. Use the Add or Remove buttons to move the Assigned Timing clients to the Available Timing Clients list.
   Multicast Timing Configuration
   Configure Multicast server	Select Yes check-box if configuring the timing server as Multicast.
   Multicast VLAN	Indicates number of multi cast VLAN Check the box to Enable IGMP IGMP is always enabled.
   Group Address A	Enter IP address for Group Address A. Possible values ranges are from 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255.
   Group Address B	Enter IP address for Group Address B.
   MC Server Forwarding Interface(s)	Indicates a server used as a forwarding interface
   Available Timing Clients	Displays the available timing clients. Use the Add or Remove buttons to move the Available Timing clients to the Assigned Timing Clients.
   Assigned Timing Clients	Displays the assigned timing clients. Use the Add or Remove buttons to move the Assigned Timing clients to the Available Timing Clients.

5. Click the Close button to close the ONT properties dialog.
