Alarms
The Active Alarms view allows the user to recognize one or more alarms and view the Severity Levels and Probable Causes text all on one screen. Additionally, the user can sort each column separately as ascending or descending and, using a filter, select a selected group of failures. The navigation buttons allow the user to page through multiple pages of alarms.
The Alarm History contains historical alarm records that can number up to 1,500,000 alarm records at a time. Once the alarm database storage limit is reached, older alarms are cleared, and the most current alarm is displayed. The Alarm History displays each entry for an Alarm Set and an Alarm Clear.
Alarm Color Codes and Status displayed in the Severity column correspond to the color of the most severe alarm (MSA) status. For example, if any Optical Line Terminal (OLT) has a critical alarm, the Network icon is red. The icon color reflects the MSA status for that OLT. See the icon colors, alarm status, and alarm definitions below.
| Color | Alarm Status | Alarm Definition |
| Green | Clear | No alarms present. |
| Red | Critical | Most critical alarm status, defined by the Probable Cause and corresponding severity setting. |
| Orange | Major | Major alarm status, defined by the Probable Cause and corresponding Severity setting. |
| Yellow | Minor | Minor alarm status, defined by the Probable Cause and corresponding severity setting. |
| Warning | The card has an active warning (no critical, major, or minor alarms are present). | |
| Blue | The OLT is unreachable or the alarm synchronization at startup of the server is not complete or the most critical alarm status for the OLT is indeterminate. |
