Clone

Use the following procedure to Clone an ONT template:

1. In the Template screen, with the ONT tab active, select the default template from the Profile/Template List and click the Clone a Current Template () icon in the Main Menu bar.
   
   
    
2. The Create ONT Template dialog is displayed with a list of Created Rules for Existing ONTs.
   
   
    
3.  In the Create ONT Template dialog, enter a Template Name for this template
4. In the Created Rules area of the Create ONT Template dialog, select the ONT that will be cloned from the default. The parameter section(s) applicable for the selected ONT will expand.

   Note: The parameter section will vary and will reflect the parameters on the OLT.

   
    

   Note: In the above example, the ONT709 was selected and the Power Shedding and Power over Ethernet (PoE) sections expanded and modified.

5. Refer to the following table and make the desired changes in the expanded parameter sections.

   Enable PoE Alarm	Check the check-box to enable PoE Alarms.	Enable/Disable
   RF Video
   RF Video Admin State	Check the check-box to enable RF Video Admin State.	Enable/Disable
   Enable Video Alarms	Check the check-box to enable Video Alarms.	Enable/Disable
   AGC Setting	Defines the measurement offset that the ONT should use when using broadband RF signal level or total optical power level as a basis for automatic gain control (AGC). Enter in increments of 1 dB.	Range: -10 to 10 dB Default: -4 dB
   Range Fail Wait Time	Defines the number of hours to wait before interrupting RF video services if the ONT loses its range (communication) with the upstream OLT. Enter in increments of 1 hour.	Range: 0 to 72 hrs Default: 48 hrs
   Video Signal Degraded Threshold	Provides the lower threshold to determine when the degraded Signal (RF Video Signal Degraded) alarm should be generated for an ONT. This threshold is set at the OLT level and applies to all ONTs for that OLT. Enter in increments of 0.5 dBm.	Range: -12 to -5 dB Default: -9.5 dBm
   Video Overload Threshold	Provides the upper threshold to determine when the overload Signal (RF Video Overload) alarm should be generated for an ONT. This threshold is set at the OLT level and applies to all ONTs for that OLT. Enter in increments of 0.5 dBm.	Range: 0 to 5 dBm Default: 2.5 dBm
   Hold Time
   LED	Hold time PON LED remains illuminated on the ONT120 and ONT140 units.	Range: 0 - 120 seconds Default: 120 seconds
   ONT SIP ATA
   Voice Personality	Select from Voice Gateway or Softswitch.	Voice Gateway/Soft Switch Default: Voice Gateway
   VLAN ID	VLAN ID associated with the Voice Gateway circuits. Note: Avoid assigning reserved VLANs.	Range: 0-4094 > Default: 0
   POTS Range Fail Wait Timer	Specify the timer value in 10 second increments).	Range: 0 to 360 secs in 10 sec increments Default 120 secs

6. After desired changes, click the Replace Selected Rule button.
   
   
    
7. The ONT Template Create Status screen displays the Status, and it is added to the Templates Names list.
   
   
    
8. When the ONT Template Create Status dialog indicates complete, click on the close button.
9. Select the new template and scroll through the display to determine if the changes to the cloned template are correct.
10. If additional templates are cloned, repeat this procedure from Step 2, otherwise click the Close button.
