Create

Use the following procedure to Create an Ethernet Port template:

1. On the Template screen, with the Ethernet Port tab active, click the Create a New Template () icon in the Main Menu bar. The Create Ethernet Port Template dialog displays.
   
   
    

   Note: All fields in the Create Ethernet Port Template dialog are required fields.

2. In the Create Ethernet Port Template dialog, refer to the following table and fill in the fields as desired to create the Ethernet Port Template.
    

   Option	Description
   Template Name	Specify a name for this selector, Allowable characters include up to 32 alpha-numeric characters, the underscore (_), and/or hyphen (-).
   Rule Editor - Criteria
   Equipment Selector	Select the Equipment Selector this template is to be applied.
   Rule Editor - Action
   Port Profile	Select, from the pull-down, the Port Profile this template is to be applied.
   PoE Profile	Select, from the pull-down, the PoE Profile this template is to be applied.
   RSTP Profile	Select, from the pull-down, the RSTP Profile this template is to be applied.
   PAE Profile	Select, from the pull-down, the PAE Profile this template is to be applied.
   NAC Profile	Select, from the pull-down, the NAC Profile this template is to be applied.
   LLDP Profile	Select, from the pull-down, the LLDP Profile this template is to be applied.
   Admin State	Check to enable the dynamic provisioning of the equipment specified in the selected Equipment Selector to the profiles selected by the chosen Actions. If left unchecked, legacy manual provisioning applies. Choices are enable or disable.
   Action Buttons
   Add Rule To Bottom	Click to add the selected Actions to the list of Created Rules. Note: If multiple rules are created, this rule is added to the bottom of the list of Created Rules.
   Add Rule To Top	Click to add the selected Actions to the list of Created Rules. Note: If multiple rules are created, this rule is added to the top of the list of Created Rules.
   Replace Selected Rule	To alter a Rule, before applying the template, select the Rule, then click Replace Selected Rule.
   Created Rules Buttons
   Up/Down	To change the order of application of created rules, select the rule and click Up or Down to move the rule accordingly.
   Remove Rule From List	To remove a rule from the list, before applying the template, select the rule and click Remove Rule From List.

    
3. When all the Rule Actions have been selected and added to the Created Rules list, click on the Apply button.
   
   
    
4. The Ethernet Port Create Status window is displayed while the templates attributes are being compiled.
   
   
    
5. After the template has been created the Ethernet Port Create Status dialog is displayed with the new template listed in Template Names.
   
   
    
6. After verifying the Template is created by being listed in Template Names click on the Close button.
7. When no further templates are to be created, click on the Close button. Otherwise, return to Step 1 and create another Ethernet Port Template.
