Help Menus

Accessing Online Help

Use the following procedure to access the Panorama PON EMS Online Help.

  1. From the Main Menu, click the Help tab. The Help menu drop-down is displayed.  
 

About

The Help > About menu displays the general release (about) information as well as detail release information and the keyed features available with the license key applied.
 

Info

Clicking the Help> Info display contains the precise Panorama PON software release information, server IP information as well as the deployed database type.
 

Features

Clicking the Help> Features displays the name and description of the features supported by the license deployed on the server.
 

Send Diagnostic Report

The Help > Send Diagnostic Report menu allows you to efficiently collect logs for distribution to our support center.  You will be displayed options to input a headline (such as a case number) and a problem description. Select the OLT having trouble and then select the cards and logs to send.

Information Note: There is an option to mask IP address information for secure sites where IP information must be protected.

 

Following the selection of equipment, use the Save As..  button to name your report and click the Generate button.

Contact Support

The Help > Contact Support dialog in the Tellabs Panorama PON EMS provides contact numbers for the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to assist users. Use the following procedures to access the TAC contact information.
 

What's New

The Help > What's New option provides valuable information regarding new software features, usability enhancements and hardware introduced in the release.

System Features

  • New network element software features
  • New services cards
  • New ONT hardware supported by the release

Click the plus sign next to each new feature, to read more.
 


 

EMS Features

  • New software features implemented in the EMS
  • Usability enhancements such as changes to search tools, alarm controls and more
