Title Bar

The title bar contains the application name and buttons to minimize and maximize the application window and exit the application.

Main Menu Bar

Main Menu bar options are described below. Some options are available for specific application views only. Click the menu option to display the related submenu and options. If menu options are greyed out, the command and its options are unavailable based on applied features and software license key or permissions granted to the user. Refer to Using Software License Keys and Features.

Main Window Components

Keyboard Shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts (ALT+<KEY>) can be used as follows:

  1. Press the Alt key to show underlines on the Main Menu bar items. Then press the letter key corresponding to the underlined letter of the desired menu item (the first letter in this case). For example, Alt+F for the File menu.
  2. In the related submenu, enter the underlined character, if available, or navigate using the arrow keys if there are two or more entries in the related submenu.
  3. If the arrow keys are used to navigate a submenu, press Enter when the desired submenu option is selected.

Menu Bar File Command


 

Menu Command Submenu Command Select this option to-
File Logon Log on to the client.
Logoff Log off from the client
Users Add, modify, or delete user accounts and access privileges. Note: Administrator-level access is required to perform these functions.
Change Password Change the active user password (refer to Changing Password). in the Panorama PON Element Management System Installation and System Administrator Users Guide.
Server Directory Change the target server. Add, modify, or delete servers from the Server directory (refer to related procedures in the Panorama PON EMS Installation and System Administrator Users Guide).
Import License Change the folder and directory location from where to import the license certificate.
Broadcast Message Sends a broadcast message to all users currently logged in to the server. 
Exit Exit and close the client application.

Edit Find Use the Find option to locate:
  • Port User Label
  • ONTs by User Label
  • ONTs by Serial Number
  • Host Locator by MAC
  • Host Locator by MAC and VLAN
  • LLDP (Powered Device (PD) characteristics)

HTTP Configuration Configure a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTPS for secure OLTs) username and password to perform HTTP downloads to Ethernet ONTs, (refer to "HTTP Configuration"). Note: Administrator-level access is required for this function.
Update Login Banner Updates the proprietary login message on the current OLT or all Ethernet NEs managed by Panorama PON (refer to "Update Login Banner").

Update Alarm Mappings Updates network-wide alarm profiles on all OLTs managed by Panorama PON.

Alarm Monitor Configuration Updates the primary and Backup SMTP Configurations.

Syslog Server Configuration Updates Syslog Server Configuration for EMS Events.

Note: Administrator-level access is required for this function.

Connection View (Options) Select All The Select All option is used to select all data on the page in the Connections view. Refer to "Select All".

View Show Labels on Toolbar Select the check-box to toggle the Toolbar text description labels on or off.

Show Interface Group View Select the check-box to toggle the Interface Group view on or off.

Show Connection View Select the check-box to toggle the Connection view on or off and invoke the page selection options. Refer to "Select All".

Show Synch View Select the check-box to toggle the Synch view on or off.

View Security Log Displays the system security events for a selected date.

Help About Displays information relative to this release of Panorama PON EMS, the current Feature package, Version, and Server IP Address and/or Hostname.
Send Diagnostic Report Select OLTs, Equipment and report Categories for report.
Contact Info Displays technical support contact numbers for the Technical Assistance Center to assist users, both domestically and internationally.
