Oracle Backup
- Login to the computer as the local Windows OS user oracle.
- On the Windows desktop, type Control Panel in the Search window. Select the System and Security Icon. Click on the System and Security icon in the upper left corner.

Click the button in the lower right corner. Environment Variables

In the System Variable area, click on the New... button.

- The New System Variable prompt is displayed.

- In the New System Variable prompt, type ORACLE_HOME in the Variable name: field.

Note: The contents of the Variable name: field is case-sensitive. Enter the value exactly as shown. - In the New System Variable prompt, type the path to the Oracle home directory in the Variable value: field, C:oracleapporacleproduct19.3.0dbhome_1.

- Click the button to set the new System Variable and close the New System Variable prompt. OK
- Click the button to close the Environment Variables prompt. OK
- Click the button to close the System Properties prompt. OK
- Close the Windows Control Panel.
- Download the Oracle 19c Installation Package into the Downloads folder.
- Login to the computer as the user oracle.
- Extract the Oracle Installation Package, from the Downloads folder, to run and extract Oracle into the ORACLEHOME (oracleapporacleproduct19.3.0dbhome_1) folder.

Note: This would take 30~ minutes or so. 
Validate Oracle Home
Ensure the ORACLE_HOME environment variable was set correctly during installation.
- Login to the computer as the local Windows OS user oracle.
- Repeat steps 2 through 6 in the section above.

In the System variables section, check to see if the ORACLE_HOME environment variable is set to: oracleapporacleproduct19.3.0dbhome_1 on the drive where oracle was installed.

- If the ORACLE_HOME environment variable was not set correctly during installation, click on the Edit button for corrections.
- Click the OK button to save any corrections and exit the Control Panel.
