Password Change

Panorama PON supports password aging (expiration). When the password nears its expiration date (controlled by the system administrator), a warning message is displayed to prompt the user to change the password.

Note: A user's password cannot be changed within 24 hours of the last change. If it is necessary to change the user password within those time constraints, the administrator will have to delete and re-add the user. The new password must comply with the requirements defined by the systems administrator. (Refer to User Manager for administrator steps)

Use the following procedure to change the password of the current user:

1. From the Main Menu bar, select File > Change Password to display the Change Password dialog box.
    
   
2. In the Change Password dialog, enter your Existing Password along with your New Password and matching confirmation and click on the Ok button. 
3. When the password has been changed successfully the following dialog will be displayed.
    
   
4. To complete the password change, click on the Ok button. 

   Note: If all password requirements are not met, you will receive a message indicating the error.  When the new password meets the requirements, the change is effective immediately.
